CHS Choir Booster Membership Information
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE COPPELL CHOIR BOOSTER ORGANIZATION?
The Coppell Choir Boosters support the directors and students through planning and organizing events, concert ticket sales, carrying out numerous fundraising efforts, and chaperoning trips. We also subsidize the choir program to help defray costs of supplies, uniforms cleanings/upkeep, social events, concert/contests, trips, the choir banquet, and scholarships, to name a few.
Parent/guardian involvement in booster clubs makes a tremendous contribution to the program. We offer a variety of ways for members to plug in, and we encourage everyone to participate at some level, whether on a committee, volunteering at events, chaperoning a trip, or offering financial donations. The contribution of your time, talents, and donations to the program allows our students enjoy a rich program that benefits everyone enrolled in choir!
WHO CAN JOIN THE BOOSTER CLUB?
Our philosophy is that ALL parents and guardians of choir students are Boosters. We would also like to encourage grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, teachers, friends, and community members to join us in support of this fine arts program!
HOW IS THE BOOSTER ORGANIZATION FUNDED?
The Booster Organization is funded through choir fees, donations from individuals and businesses, and through fundraising activities and ticket sales. Contribute online today on the CHS Choir Website. Without your help, we would not be able to provide the level of quality our students enjoy in the Coppell High School Choir Program.
HOW CAN I HELP?
Please visit the volunteer signup on the CHS Choir Website for the listing of our volunteer needs for the upcoming school year! If you are interested in serving on a committee, you can view information on our open positions on our board webpage. We need YOU!
To keep up to date on “all things choir,” please enroll in Charms, our online information system used for email communication, notifications, uniforms checkout details, financials, and on-line store. Each student will receive a personalized login to access his or her information in the Charms system. You can also follow Mr. Brown’s blog, the choir Facebook and Twitter pages and sign up for Twitter alerts (informative texts)!
Our monthly board meetings for 2016 will be held at 6pm on Aug. 16th, Sept. 12th, Oct. 3rd, Nov. 28th, Jan. 9th (7pm), Feb. 13th, Mar. 27th, Apr. 10th, and May 15th. We welcome your ideas, attendance to meetings, and most of all, your partnership in our program.
This year, we are introducing the Choir Booster Showcase which will be a short information session prior to the Fall Concert on October 4th and the Spring Pops Concert on May 23rd. This will serve as our general assembly meeting, and we hope that you will all make it a priority to attend and STAY INFORMED!
The Board is excited to be working on your behalf to bring more success to the Coppell Choir Boosters. Working together, we can make this a fun and memorable experience for all of our singers!
